PSBB is Socialized at PGC Shopping Center

Some 30 joint personnel were deployed to socialize the implementation of the large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) at the Cililitan Wholesale Center (PGC), Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, Monday (4/13).

At the location, they asked traders to close the stalls on the third floor, which sells mobile phones, laptops and accessories while showing an appeal letter from the PGC management office that was posted since last week.

Kramat Jati Sub-district Head Eka Darmawan said there were still many outlets open in PGC. They should be closed to April 23 in accordance with the regional head's regulation, except stalls that sell basic necessities and medicines.

"We have done this action as a follow-up to the implementation of the PSBB, considering other shopping centers in Kramat Jati have complied with Gubernatorial Regulation number 33/2020," he expressed.

PGC General Manager Akub Sudarsa said that the traders had been urged to close down their stalls.

"We as managers comply with PSBB policy in Jakarta. Indeed there is still a miscommunication with the traders who translated it differently, especially about electronic types of mobile phones," he uttered.

He added the owners of electronic outlets actually already sell online. Unfortunately there were still many people who come to shop or do cell phone service. Starting tomorrow, they must close their outlets.
